Federico Flores-Parkman
Founder & Lead Interior Designer

I have been drawn to both art and design for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Mexico City—one of the world’s great capitals of architecture and design—I was immersed in this world from an early age. I was also introduced to the design process early on, as my family moved frequently and worked with architecture and design firms for each new home. Fascinated by the process, I stayed closely involved—asking questions and offering input. These experiences sparked a lasting interest in how spaces can shape mood, connection, and everyday life.
After earning a B.S.B.A. with double majors in Finance and Marketing and a minor in Art & Art History from the University of Miami, I began my career in corporate & investment banking at J.P. Morgan in New York City. A year and a half later, I decided to channel my strategic and analytical background into my true passions—design and art. I went on to earn a Certificate in Interior Architecture from Universidad Centro in Mexico City before founding Artem Design.
My style blends warmth and simplicity with thoughtful details and character, creating interiors that are elegant yet inviting. In addition to design, I maintain an active artistic practice with exhibitions in both the U.S. and Mexico, and often integrate art into my projects—whether by curating collections or commissioning site-specific pieces—ensuring every space feels both personal and enduring.
